DAY 1: ITALY – MALAGA

Departure from Italy. Arrival in Malaga and independent transfer to the hotel. At 8:30 pm, meeting with the other participants and the guide, who will provide the first information about the tour. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2: MALAGA – PUERTO BANÚS – RONDA – SEVILLE

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Puerto Banús, a famous tourist resort on the Costa del Sol, frequented by many celebrities. Stroll along the marina, surrounded by elegant boutiques and renowned venues. Free time for lunch. Continue to Ronda, built on a rocky promontory with very steep walls, the Tajo, a deep gorge reaching 100 meters in depth that divides the town center. Visit the old quarter, where the Collegiate Church of Santa María is located, an important Renaissance building that preserves inside an arch from the now-vanished main mosque. Finally, visit the Plaza de Toros, a magnificent example of 18th-century architecture. Departure for Seville, crossing the Andalusian countryside, with views of whitewashed villages along the way. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3: SEVILLE – CADIZ – JEREZ – SEVILLE 

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Cádiz; upon arrival, a brief overview of one of the oldest cities in Spain, with over 3,000 years of history, thanks to its privileged position perfectly “nestled” between two seas, the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean. During the 17th and 18th centuries, Cádiz became the sole port for trade with the Americas. Lunch is on your own; this city is the perfect place to try the famous “fried fish” in its small seaside restaurants. Continue to Jerez de la Frontera, where we will visit one of the most famous wineries for the production of “sherry” wine. Return to Seville*. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Note: Visits to Seville, Cádiz, or Jerez on Day 3 may be swapped in order due to logistical reasons.

DAY 4: SEVILLE

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, a comprehensive guided tour of the city. Visit the Cathedral, the third-largest Christian church in the world, a harmonious ensemble of unusual beauty; next to it, the Giralda, the former mosque minaret that later became the Cathedral’s bell tower. Continue with a stroll through the unique Santa Cruz Quarter, a labyrinth of streets with legendary names, small squares, and beautiful flower-filled courtyards. Free afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 5: SEVILLE

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day to enjoy this magnificent city at your own pace. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 6: SEVILLE – CORDOBA – GRANADA

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Córdoba. Upon arrival, visit the famous Mosque-Cathedral, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984; it is the most visited monument of the city of the Caliphate, featuring its minaret, the Patio de los Naranjos, and the prayer hall with over 1,300 columns—one of the most beautiful examples of Islamic art in Spain. Continue with a stroll through the Jewish Quarter, with its characteristic narrow streets, houses with flower-filled balconies, and traditional Andalusian courtyards. Lunch is on your own. Continue to Granada. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

DAY 7: GRANADA

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, guided city tour; we will visit the Royal Chapel with the sculpted tombs of the Catholic Monarchs, a masterpiece of the Renaissance in Spain. We will also visit the Charterhouse (Cartuja) with its sumptuous Baroque decoration. Continue to a viewpoint from which the Alhambra can be admired from the outside, an iconic site in southern Spain with enormous historical importance. Once a royal palace and fortress of the Nasrid kings, this site bears witness to the splendor of the city’s medieval Muslim period (the visit will conclude by 1:00 pm at the latest). Afternoon at leisure (those wishing to visit the Alhambra internally can purchase tickets with an audio guide in Italian; a tour guide will not be provided). Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 8: GRANADA – MALAGA

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Malaga, arrival in the morning, and panoramic tour of the city and its fortress (Alcazaba), located between the port and the mountains. Free time to stroll through the most characteristic corners of the historic center, such as Calle Larios, Pasaje de Chinitas, Plaza de la Merced (where Picasso was born), and the Cathedral. Time available for further personal visits depending on the return flight.
